Designed as a multi-function event facility, the Curry County Special Events Center is fully equipped to host rodeos, livestock sales, dog shows, concerts, circuses, trade shows, conventions, sporting events and a vast array of other private and public special events.

With approximately 96,000 square feet, the climate-controlled, indoor arena can fully extend the limits of your space and creativity. The venue includes spectator seating for approximately 3,300 people (including 294 premium seats) and availability of an additional 3,200 seats on the arena floor, this setting is ideal for your ultimate event.

The Center is a great entertainment event center, suitable for families and fans alike. Our goal is to provide the best facilities for your entertainment and use. We invite you to explore our site and contact us with any questions.

Hours of Operation:

  • Administrative offices are open Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm.
  • Regular box office hours vary depending on events scheduled.
  • Box Office will open one hour prior to an event, unless otherwise posted.

Now, the clean up begins...the best part of the clean up is the Premium Checks. You can pick up your check in the office in the Curry County Events Center between 8:30 and noon or between 1:30 and 4:30.


The Curry County Fair was a huge success! Thank you to all those who attended, worked, volunteered, showed animals, displayed in Home Arts Building, judged...just whatever part you had in the 2014 Curry County Fair -- Thank you!


Ticket prices for entry into the Curry County Fair are $6 for adults, $5 for adults age 55+, $3 children.

Carnival rides are: Wristbands are $30 with these exceptions...Tuesday - Wristbands will be $25 with two cans of food; Wednesday - $1 ride night; Thursday - with the ad from the Thrifty Nickel, wristbands are 4 for $60 (no copies of ad accepted); Friday and Saturday, wristbands are $30 each


Dog Obedience & Agility Demo will be held on Tuesday, August 12th, at 6:30 pm in the Grass Show Arena. Come out and watch these dogs 'jump through hoops' literally. You will also be able to meet the various breeds of dogs that are participating.

Following that will be the Pet Costume Contest!


The Clovis/Portales Kennel Club presents the Curry County Pet Costume Contest. No entry fee is required. Contest will be on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:30 pm. Contest is open to all types of pets (spiders, fish, white mice, horses, pigs, etc.).

Entries will be taken at the Grass Show Arena on the Curry County Fairgrounds. Line-up will be as entry is taken.
