Aaron Watson To Headline 100th Curry County Fair
The Curry County Fair is proud to announce county superstar, Aaron Watson, will perform at the centennial fair in Clovis, NM. Watson will headline the fair’s Country Night on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Curry County Events Center. Watson will headline the star-studded night along with Josh Ward and High Country.
Watson's impressive, independent music career has been proclaimed as a self-made success. The country singer has recorded a total of 12 studio albums including The Underdog which proclaimed Watson as the first independent male artist to debut at Number One on Billboard Top Country Albums. His 2017 album, Vaquero, included his hit track “Outta Style” which introduced Watson to a top 10 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The single won a BMI Awards for most radio airplay in 2017 and the BMI Millionaire Award. His most recent album, Red Bandana, is a 20-song album released in 2019.
Josh Ward is a Texas country rising star. Ward has accomplished nine consecutive #1 hits singles in Texas proving to be a music powerhouse. A rodeo man, Ward, has an impressive social following with 3 million streams on Spotify among his three album releases. Onstage, Ward is an entertaining performer as he plays an average of 200 plus dates a year. He is described as being "country music blood to bone."
Starting County Night will be Hill County. The newly created band with veteran lead singer Zane Williams. The Texas-based band borderlines between musical genres, busting down the gates that separate country, bluegrass, folk, and acoustic rock. The 5-part harmony group was create in 2019 with some of the best musicians in the business. Hill County will open the night at 6 pm on Saturday, Aug. 15.
