High Plains Junior Rodeo Association (HPJRA)
The High Plains Junior Rodeo Association (HPJRA) is a non-profit youth rodeo organization dedicated to fostering the sport of rodeo for boys and girls ages 19 and under throughout the Southwest. Since its founding in 1974, HPJRA has helped thousands of young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and passion for rodeo — with many alumni going on to compete at collegiate and professional levels.
Each year, the HPJRA hosts a full rodeo season featuring multiple competitive events across Texas and New Mexico. The tour includes regular season rodeos throughout the winter and spring, giving youth contestants the opportunity to compete in classic rodeo events like barrel racing, roping, and more. The season culminates in the HPJRA Finals, a major rodeo event that draws the best performers from the year’s competition.
