About the event
High Plains Junior Rodeo Association (HPJRA) is a nonprofit youth rodeo organization for boys and girls ages 19 and under across Texas, New Mexico, and the Southwest. Established in 1974, it hosts a full season of rodeo competitions including events like barrel racing, roping, goat tying, and more, giving young riders the chance to compete, improve their skills, and qualify for finals. The association is focused on developing future rodeo athletes while promoting Western tradition and sportsmanship.
